The Malaga to Fuengirola train line stops at the airport. The train service runs from 6am to around 11am. Trains for Torremolinos, Arroyo de la Miel and Fuengirola leave at 13 and 43 minutes past every hour.

Trains for Malaga center and the mainline train station leave at 15 and 45 minutes past every hour.

The high-speed line from Madrid to Malaga is expected to run to the airport soon

By Bus

Buses leave from outside departures and arrivals to Malaga every 30 minutes from 6.30am to midnight.

You can find a large taxi rank outside the arrivals terminal and taxis are provided by radio taxi (952-040-804).

By Road
You can easily reached the airport by the N-340/A-7 where access is well-signposted.

Besides the airport has a car parking and out of season there are usually plenty of spaces. There’s a limited parking area for set down only on the explanade outside the airport departure area, but it’s best not to leave your car for long time, because police is waiting.
