With a population of few more than 500 inhabitants we find this village of “El Valle de Genal” , immersed in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda.

Here the presence of the Romans in the whole of the valley is known, but there is no information relating to human presence until the Muslim so the first known settlers were the Berber tribe, Banu- I- Hawariyya.
